Excellence in Education: Prior Park School Gibraltar Achieves 100% high-grade pass rate

Now well into our third year, Prior Park School continues to grow and is a thriving community within Gibraltar.

Our recent first set of GCSE examination results, from our founding cohort of students were superb with a 100% high-grade pass rate (C or above) and an outstanding 80% of all grades being between 7-9 (A-A*).

These results well exceeded the expected level of attainment in the UK and we are immensely proud of our students for their hard work and fantastic achievements.

September 2019 will see another new chapter for the school, as we plan to begin accepting Year 7 students for the first time, in line with the Government of Gibraltar’s recent announcement to align the education system with that of the UK.

“This is fantastic news for the school and serves us well. Plans to expand the school site have been approved.”

The ambitious plans will equip the school with some outdoor, green spaces for students to relax and unwind outside of the classroom, as well as new teaching classes and a state-of-the-art performance space.

Our students continue to give 100% effort both inside and outside the classroom.

This year, Headmaster Mr Watts set all students the task of giving at least one hour per week to a charitable cause and the school continues to raise money for various local and international charities.

Students at Prior Park are also fast becoming active members of the wider sports community, as we have begun to play fixtures against other local schools for the first time in Gibraltar’s history.

With ambitious plans for the school, we continue to support, encourage and lift up all of our students to be forward thinking, compassionate and driven young individuals.
