This unmissable concert will take place on the 7th of January 2020 at Gibraltar’s vibrant cultural hub; the John Mackintosh Hall Theatre.

The first portion of the concert is an ‘Orchestral Concert for Children’ which will be free of charge for kids and their families, starting at 5:30 PM. This will followed by the main event at 8:30 PM.

The event was announced by the Gibraltar Cultural Services on behalf of the Gibraltar Ministry of Culture.

Minister for Environment, Sustainability, Climate Change, Heritage and Culture, Professor John Cortes said:

“We are very proud to once again host the New Year’s Concerts for the whole family to enjoy together, focused on entertaining our children and introducing a new generation to the beauty and wonder of classical music.”

Mr. Cortes added: “We have been working very closely with the Gibraltar Philharmonic Society and sincerely thank them for making it all happen.”

This concert has been organised by the Gibraltar Philharmonic Society, which has been bringing classical concerts to Gibraltar since 1998, and in September 2019 reached a new milestone when they packed the Europa Point Sports Complex with the Andrea Bocelli concert together with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra as part of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the closure of the frontier.
